Stanislas Dehaene (born 1965) is a French mathematician, psychologist, and cognitive scientist. In 2005, he became a member of the Académie des Sciences and a professor at the Collège de France, where a chair in experimental psychology of perception was established for him. His research has focused on the foundations of reading, writing, and arithmetic. His works include the German-language edition “Lesen. Die größte Erfindung der Menschheit und was dabei in unseren Köpfen passiert” (“Reading: Humanity’s Greatest Invention and What Happens in Our Minds”).
