Souad Mekhennet

Souad Mekhennet is a journalist and author who grew up in Germany. She is the daughter of a Turkish mother and a Moroccan father. After the September 11 attacks, she began reporting on Islamist terrorism and worked as a security correspondent and as a member of the Washington Post’s investigative team. Her journalism was recognized with the Daniel Pearl Award in 2017, the special prize of the Nannen Prize in 2018, and the Ludwig Börne Prize in 2018.
