Sophie Villard

Sophie Villard is the pseudonym of a German author trained as a journalist and political scientist. She writes historical novels about extraordinary women and families, including *Madame Exupéry und die Sterne des Himmels* and *Mademoiselle Eiffel und der Turm der Liebe*. Her novel about art collector Peggy Guggenheim appeared on the SPIEGEL bestseller list. Villard’s interest in Guggenheim was sparked by a visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
