Sophia Kimmig

Sophia Kimmig (born 1988) is a biologist and author. As a wildlife biologist with a doctorate, she researched the ecology and behavior of wild animals and their adaptation to changing habitats, including the urban foxes of Berlin. Her first nonfiction book, »Von Füchsen und Menschen«, was published in 2021 and became a Spiegel bestseller. It was followed in 2023 by »Lebendige Nacht. Vom verborgenen Leben der Tiere«. Kimmig also communicates scientific topics through lectures, media work, and writing.
