Solveig Grothe (born 1975) completed a traineeship at the Altmark Zeitung after finishing secondary school and subsequently worked there as an editor. She studied political science, economics and sociology in Magdeburg. From 2004, she worked as an editor at netzeitung.de, focusing on politics and media. In 2006, she took over project management of Readers Edition. In 2007, she developed the contemporary-history project “einestages” and founded the contemporary-history section of SPIEGEL ONLINE.
