Sofia Andruchowytsch

Sofia Andruchowytsch, born in 1982 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian writer, translator and essayist. She has published several volumes of prose since 2002. She is the daughter of the writer Yuri Andruchowytsch. Her literary breakthrough came in 2014 with the novel “Der Papierjunge,” which was translated into several languages and adapted into a film. Her three-part Amadoka epic comprises “The Story of Romana” and “The Story of Ulyana” (both 2023), followed by “The Story of Sofia” (2024).
