Skottie Young

Born in 1978, Skottie Young is an American comic-book writer and artist. He began his career after the turn of the millennium with work for Marvel, including stories featuring the Human Torch, the New X-Men, Venom, the New Warriors, and Marvel’s Mangaverse versions of its iconic characters. From 2009 onward, he collaborated with Eric Shanower on adaptations of L. Frank Baum’s Oz novels. The series attracted considerable attention and received an Eisner Award. Young later worked as writer and artist on Rocket Raccoon and on the independent fantasy satire I Hate Fairyland. He also wrote Deadpool, Bully Wars, and Middlewest.
