Simone Buchholz, born in Hanau in 1972, trained as a journalist at the Henri Nannen School and worked as a freelance author from 2001. Her first crime novel, “Revolverherz,” was published in 2008 and launched her series featuring prosecutor Chastity Riley. The series received numerous awards, including the German Crime Fiction Prize twice and the International Dagger Award. “Über Söhne” was her first work of narrative nonfiction.
