Simon Winder

Simon Winder, born in London in 1963, is a British author who worked as an editor-in-chief at the English publishing house Penguin Books, where he edited books by many prominent historians. He is known for his books on history and cultural travel. His works include Germany, oh Germany: Ein eigensinniges Geschichtsbuch (2010), Kaisers Rumpelkammer: Unterwegs in der Habsburger Geschichte (2014), also published as Die Habsburg-Saga, and Herzland. Eine Reise durch Europas historische Mitte zwischen Frankreich und Deutschland (2019).
