Simon Straetker, born in 1993 in Germany’s Black Forest, became known as a filmmaker and photographer for his work depicting remote regions and extreme landscapes. His engagement as an environmental ambassador earned him the German Nature Conservation Prize. In January 2017, Forbes Magazine included him in its “30 Under 30 Europe” list in the arts category.
