Silvia Tschui

Silvia Tschui, born in Zurich in 1974, is a Swiss author. She studied German and visual design or graphic design, and completed a program in literary writing. Her professional experience includes work as an animation film director in London, teacher, graphic designer, journalist and editor. In 2004, one of her works was nominated for a British Animation Award. Her first novel, “Jakobs Ross,” received the Recognition Award of the Canton of Zurich and was adapted for the stage. Her second novel, “Der Wod,” was supported by the City of Zurich with a half-year work grant in 2017; in 2019, Tschui was nominated for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize for the novel.
