Silvia Pistotnig

Silvia Pistotnig was born in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, in 1977. She studied communication and political science, as well as journalism and political science, at the University of Vienna and worked as an editor. Her debut novel, Nachricht von Niemand, was published by Skarabaeus Verlag in 2010. It was followed by Tschulie (2017), Teresa hört auf (2021), and Die Wirtinnen. Pistotnig has received, among other distinctions, the Federal Project Grant and the Literature Promotion Prize of the Province of Carinthia.
