Silvia Moreno-Garcia is a Canadian author born in Mexico. Her work includes horror, noir crime, science fiction, and fantasy. One of her best-known novels is *Mexican Gothic*, published in German as *Der mexikanische Fluch*. Her work has received several awards, including the World Fantasy Award, the Sunburst Award, the Locus Award, and the British Fantasy Award.
