Silke von Bremen

Silke von Bremen (born 1959) grew up on an orchard in the Altes Land region near Hamburg and holds a degree in geography. Until 1995, she supervised the Sylt Local History Museum in Keitum; from 1999 onward, she worked as a certified tour guide on Sylt. She published several books, including the illustrated volume »365 Tage Sylt«, co-authored with Hans Jessel, the travel guide »Gebrauchsanweisung für Sylt«, and a nonfiction book. »Stumme Zeit« is her debut novel.
