Silke Kipper

Silke Kipper studied biology and earned her doctorate at Freie Universität Berlin. In her research in Germany and abroad, she examined how animals exchange information through songs, calls, and other vocalizations. She focused in particular on the songs of various bird species and on the nightingale. Kipper also worked as a primary school teacher.
