Sigismund von Radecki

Sigismund von Radecki (1891–1970) was a German writer, translator and reciter. After the First World War, he worked as an electrical engineer for Siemens-Schuckert in Berlin. From 1924 to 1926, he worked in the circle of Karl Kraus in Vienna, a period he called his “real university.” He later supported himself through recitation evenings and the publication of feuilletons. As a translator, he translated works by, among others, Alexander Pushkin and Nikolai Gogol.
