Shirana Shahbazi

Shirana Shahbazi, born in Tehran in 1974, is internationally known as an artist and photographer. Her photographic works compose complex pictorial spaces through vivid colors and layers of imagery. Her work explores how perception constructs and stages reality. Her works are held in the collections of major institutions worldwide. In 2019, she received the Prix Meret Oppenheim. One of her photographic works appears on the cover of “Schlaflose Nächte.”
