Sherwood Anderson

Sherwood Anderson (1876–1941) was an American writer. He grew up in Ohio and went to Chicago at the age of seventeen. Before turning to literature, he held various jobs, including serving as a soldier and working in a paint factory and in advertising. Anderson published numerous short-story collections, novels, and volumes of poetry, as well as newspaper columns and memoirs.
