Sheldon Solomon

Sheldon Solomon is a psychologist who was a professor of psychology at Skidmore College. Together with Jeff Greenberg and Tom Pyszczynski, he developed terror management theory in the late 1980s. The theory examines how people respond to fear of death and awareness of their own mortality. Solomon and his colleagues’ work was tested in numerous empirical studies and had a significant influence on modern psychology.
