Shaun Tan

Shaun Tan was born in Perth, Australia, in 1974. He received the New South Wales Premier’s Literary Award for his graphic novel *The Arrival*. His work *The Lost Thing* won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. In 2011, he received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. His notable works also include *Tales from Outer Suburbia*.
