Scott Turow

Scott Turow (born 1949) is an American author and lawyer. His debut novel, published in 1987, was adapted into a film starring Harrison Ford. His other works include the novel »The Last Trial« and the nonfiction books »One L«, about his experiences as a law student, and »Ultimate Punishment«, a discussion of the death penalty. Turow’s novels are set in the fictional Kindle County, modeled on the greater Chicago area. He served, among other roles, as president of the Authors Guild and as a member of the Illinois Commission on Capital Punishment.
