Scott McEwen (born 1961) worked as a trial lawyer in San Diego, California. He grew up in the mountains of eastern Oregon and, after completing his bachelor’s degree, studied and worked in London for an extended period. He is known as the co-author of “American Sniper,” the account of sniper Chris Kyle’s life, which reached number one on the New York Times bestseller list and was adapted for film by Clint Eastwood. Together with Thomas Koloniar, McEwen also wrote the “Sniper Elite” series of novels, whose stories are based on the experiences of real snipers.
