Sarah Thankam Mathews is a writer. She grew up in Oman and India and moved to the United States at the age of seventeen. She has received fellowships from the Asian American Writers’ Workshop and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. In 2020, she founded the mutual-aid network Bed-Stuy Strong in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her debut novel, *All This Could Be Different*, was a finalist for the 2022 National Book Award.
