Sandra Grauer, born in 1983, was born in Germany’s Ruhr region. She studied language and translation studies in Heidelberg and later completed a distance-learning course in journalism as well as an internship at a PR agency in Karlsruhe. Before devoting herself to writing, she worked as a translator, PR editor and journalist. She has published young adult and women’s fiction, fantasy and crime novels. Her works include the fantasy novel »Schattenspiel«, the witch duology »Clans of London« and a crime series set around Lake Constance and featuring Detective Inspector Katharina Danninger. »Schattenspiel« was nominated for the 2015 Indie Author Prize of the Leipzig Book Fair, while »Clans of London – Hexentochter« was nominated for the 2020 DeLiA Youth Literature Prize.
