Sami Tamimi

Sami Tamimi, born in Jerusalem, is a Palestinian chef and cookbook author. He began his culinary career in restaurants in Jerusalem before moving to London in 1997. In 2002, he co-founded the first Ottolenghi location in Notting Hill with Yotam Ottolenghi. Together they published the cookbook Jerusalem, which became a bestseller. Tamimi also worked with Tara Wigley on a cookbook about Palestinian cuisine, for which they travelled to Palestine and brought together recipes, stories and photographs.
