Samantha Cristoforetti

Samantha Cristoforetti (born 1977 in Milan) is an Italian astronaut and fighter pilot. She studied aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Munich and joined the European Space Agency’s astronaut corps in 2009. From November 2014 to June 2015, she spent several months aboard the International Space Station (ISS); from April to September 2022, she took part in a second ISS mission.
