Sam Boughton studied illustration at UWE in Bristol and at the Cambridge School of Art. She illustrated books for Tate Gallery, Penguin and Oxford University Press. Alongside book illustration, she created semi-abstract landscapes, working mainly with watercolours and incorporating elements of paper collage.
