Salah Naoura

Salah Naoura, born in Berlin in 1964, studied German and Scandinavian studies in Berlin and Stockholm. In 1995, he began working as a freelance translator and author. He published picture books, early-reader books, poems, stories and novels for children, and translated numerous children’s, young adult and nonfiction books into German, including many picture books by Axel Scheffler and Julia Donaldson. His books and translations received several awards, including the Peter Härtling Prize, the LUCHS awarded by DIE ZEIT and Radio Bremen, and the German Youth Literature Prize. His children’s novel “Matti and Sami and the Three Biggest Mistakes in the Universe” received the Peter Härtling Prize and the LUCHS.
