Sabine Schoder (born 1982) studied graphic design in Vienna and became an author. She rose to prominence with her debut novel »Liebe ist was für Idioten. Wie mich.«, following whose success she began writing full-time. In 2021, she received the DELIA Youth Literature Prize for »Immer ist ein verdammt langes Wort«; »Liebe ist was für Idioten. Wie mich.« was nominated for the Buxtehuder Bulle. Her »The Romeo & Juliet Society« trilogy became a SPIEGEL bestseller and has been translated into seven languages. The idea for the trilogy came to her during a trip to Verona, including a visit to Juliet’s famous, though fictitious, balcony.
