Sabine Kuegler

Sabine Kuegler was born in Nepal in 1972. At the age of five, she moved with her parents, both linguists, to West Papua, where she spent her childhood and youth among the Fayu people. She returned to Europe at 17 and completed her schooling in Switzerland. In 2005, she published her first book, *Dschungelkind* (*Jungle Child*), which has been translated into more than 30 languages. Kuegler has also worked as an entrepreneur.
