Sabine Hossenfelder (born 1976) studied physics at Goethe University Frankfurt, where she received her doctorate with distinction. After research stays in the United States, Canada and Sweden, she was a research fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies and became an external member of the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy in 2023. She has published numerous scientific articles and has written for publications including Bild der Wissenschaft, Spektrum der Wissenschaft, Scientific American and New Scientist. Her books include The Ugly Universe: Why Our Search for Beauty Is Leading Physics Astray (2018) and Mehr als nur Atome (2023).
