Sabine Haupt, born in Giessen in 1959, is a literary scholar and writer. Her academic career includes a professorship in General and Comparative Literature at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Her research focuses on the cultural and media-historical contexts of literature from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century. She has published scholarly works, two collections of stories, prose in literary and cultural magazines, and contributions to the press, radio, and television. Her novels include “Der blaue Faden. Pariser Dunkelziffern” (2018) and “Lichtschaden. Zement” (2021). Sabine Haupt has two daughters.
