Ruth Janette Ruck was the author of three memoirs about her life on Carneddi farm in Wales’s Snowdonia: *Als das Lama zu uns kam*, *Place of Stones* (1961), and *Hill Farm Story* (1966). Her books turned Carneddi into a tourist attraction and brought it to television. Ruck died in 2006.
