Ruth Hogan

Ruth Hogan is an English author. She studied English literature and drama at Goldsmiths College and later worked in local government. After a serious car accident, she left her full-time job and began writing. In 2012, she was diagnosed with cancer; during chemotherapy, she wrote her debut novel, *Mr. Peardew’s Collection of Lost Things*, during many sleepless nights. The book sold more than a million copies and was translated into almost forty languages. Hogan is also known as an enthusiastic collector of found objects.
