Rufi Thorpe

Rufi Thorpe received an MFA from the University of Virginia in 2009. She grew up in California and studied literature and creative writing in New York. Her novels include *The Girls from Corona Del Mar* (published in German as *Ein Sommer in Corona del Mar*), *Dear Fang, With Love*, and *The Knockout Queen*. *The Girls from Corona Del Mar* was nominated for the International Dylan Thomas Prize and the Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize, while *The Knockout Queen* was nominated for the PEN/Faulkner Award.
