Rudolf Strohmeyer, born in Graz in 1954, worked for more than 30 years as an employee at a tax consultancy firm before devoting himself fully to writing after his retirement. He had previously abandoned studies in German and philosophy and gone on to study economics. His fiction is characterized by dry humor, wordplay and ironic observations of everyday life. His published works include the crime stories »Tote lesen keine Krimis«, the story collection »Funkschatten – 13 Storys vom Irrsinn des Alltags und dem Alltag der Irrsinnigen«, and the novel »Richter und die Schande der Familie«.
