Rudolf Hickel

Born in 1942, Rudolf Hickel was a professor of public finance at the University of Bremen and director of its Institute for Work and the Economy (IAW). He was one of the co-founders of the Alternative Economic Policy Working Group, also known as the Memorandum Group, and contributed to its annual memorandum on alternative economic policy. His publications include Kassensturz (2006) and the 2023 volume Soziale Kipppunkte, bedrohte Existenzen, wachsende Armut, which he edited with Axel Troost and Norbert Reuter.
