Roy F. Baumeister

Roy F. Baumeister is a social psychologist. He earned his doctorate at Princeton University and was, among other positions, Francis Eppes Eminent Professor of Psychology at Florida State University. In 2016, he became Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Queensland in Australia. His research has focused on sexuality, self-control, self-assertion mechanisms, motivation, and aggression. Baumeister has published numerous books and was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2015.
