Ronald Schweppe was born in Lausanne in 1962 and studied music at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. As a double bassist, he played, among other ensembles, with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. He was also a founding and ensemble member of the Kammeroper München. His work included roles as an orchestral musician, musician, and meditation teacher. Together with Aljoscha Long, he published numerous books on topics including mindfulness, the art of living, and Eastern spirituality.
