Romesh Gunesekera

Romesh Gunesekera was born in Colombo in 1954 and grew up in Sri Lanka and the Philippines. He moved to London in 1971. His first novel, “Riff,” was translated into numerous languages and shortlisted for the Booker Prize. His second novel, “Sandglas,” received the BBC Asia Award for Achievement in Writing & Literature.
