Roland Weis

Roland Weis, born in 1958 in St. Georgen in the Black Forest, holds a doctorate in history and trained as an editor. After more than two decades working for daily and weekly newspapers and radio stations, he moved into corporate communications at a regional energy provider in 2002, heading the department until the end of 2022. Weis has published more than 20 books, including regional-history and popular nonfiction, hiking and travel guides, Black Forest crime novels, and historical fiction. One of his larger projects is “Die Neue Welt,” a planned five-volume historical novel series tracing the conquest of South and Central America.
