Roland Trettl

Roland Trettl is an Austrian chef, author and television presenter. He began his career under Eckart Witzigmann and later worked at, among others, the Munich restaurants Aubergine and Tantris. From 2003 to 2013, he was executive chef at Restaurant Ikarus in Salzburg’s Hangar-7, which was awarded a Michelin star during his tenure. Trettl appeared in cooking shows including The Taste, Kitchen Impossible and Grill den Profi, and became widely known as the host of the VOX dating documentary First Dates – Ein Tisch für zwei. From 2014, he also collaborated with the Capriz cheese dairy in South Tyrol on culinary events.
