R.L. Stine

R. L. Stine, whose full name is Robert Lawrence Stine, was born in 1943 in Columbus, Ohio. He studied at Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Before becoming a writer, he worked as a teacher and spent ten years as editor of the humorous youth magazine Bananas. He is best known for the children’s horror series Goosebumps and the young adult thriller series Fear Street. Stine is regarded as one of the most successful authors of children’s and young adult fiction.
