Rivka Galchen

Rivka Galchen was born in Toronto in 1976 and grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. She studied literature and medicine at Princeton University and Mount Sinai Medical School. Her debut novel, “Atmospheric Disturbances,” received considerable attention in the United States. In 2010, The New Yorker included her on its list of the 20 best writers of her generation under 40.
