Rike Schmid

Born in Hanover in 1979, Rike Schmid worked as an actress, audiobook narrator, and author. She became known for her leading role in the ZDF television series “Der Fürst und das Mädchen”. Her film and television credits included “Die Augenzeugin”, “Baal”, “Schwere Jungs”, and “Wir”, which received the Max Ophüls Prize. As an audiobook narrator, she contributed to numerous audio productions. In 2011, she published the academic study “Schauspielerinnen. Die Suche nach weiblicher Identität”; in 2015, this was followed by “Nimm mich mit nach Gestern”, based on an exchange of letters with her colleague Renate Delfs.
