Richard Reschika

Richard Reschika was born in 1962 in Kronstadt (now Brașov, Romania). He studied German, Protestant theology, art history and philosophy in Freiburg im Breisgau and Heidelberg, earning a Magister Artium in 1988 and a doctorate in 1990 with a dissertation on Paul Celan’s late poetry. From 1989 to 1990, he was curator of the Friedrich Nietzsche Museum in Sils-Maria, and from 1991 to 1994 he worked as an editor at Herder Verlag. From 1995 onward, he worked as a freelance editor, author, publisher, reviewer and translator from Romanian and English. His publications included studies of E. M. Cioran, Mircea Eliade and Friedrich Nietzsche.
