Richard Chizmar

Richard Chizmar is an American author, editor, and publisher associated with horror and mystery fiction. He founded the magazine Cemetery Dance and Cemetery Dance Publications, and edited more than 35 anthologies. With Stephen King, he co-wrote the novella Gwendy’s Button Box. His own works include the novels Chasing the Boogeyman and Becoming the Boogeyman, the serial-killer story A Long December, and the collection The Long Way Home. With his son Billy, he also wrote the haunted-house novella Widow’s Point. Chizmar received, among other honors, two World Fantasy Awards, four International Horror Guild Awards, a Bram Stoker Award, and the HWA Board of Trustees Award. He also wrote screenplays and teleplays and adapted works by authors including Stephen King, Peter Straub, and Bentley Little.
