Richard C. Schwartz

Richard C. Schwartz, Ph.D., developed Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy in the 1990s, a therapeutic model focused on working with parts of the personality. He founded the IFS Institute and published extensively on IFS therapy. Schwartz taught and conducted research at institutions including Harvard Medical School, the University of Illinois, and Northwestern University in Chicago.
