Richard Bauckham

Richard Bauckham was born in 1946 and received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 1973. From 1992 to 2007, he was Professor of New Testament Studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, and he subsequently became Professor Emeritus there. In 1998, he was elected a Fellow of the British Academy, followed in 2002 by election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
