Rene Goscinny

René Goscinny (1926–1977) was a French writer and comics author. Born in Paris, he grew up in Buenos Aires and moved to New York in 1945, where he initially worked as an artist and became acquainted with leading figures in the comics world. He later returned to Europe and became known as the author and co-creator of the comic series “Asterix” and “Lucky Luke,” as well as the creator of the stories about “Little Nicholas.” The illustrations for “Little Nicholas” were drawn by Jean-Jacques Sempé.
